1. Introduction
This AI & Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the use of:
  • Roboi Edge Kit
  • Roboi VMS Platform
  • Roboi AI Video Analytics
  • Roboi APIs
  • Roboi Dashboard
  • Roboi AI Models
  • Related software, hardware, cloud, and edge AI services
available through:
Roboi.ai
This Policy applies to all customers, users, partners, integrators, resellers, contractors, and third parties (“Users”) using Roboi technologies and services.
By using Roboi services, you agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Purpose of Roboi Platform
Roboi provides AI-assisted video analytics and edge AI infrastructure solutions for:
  • Operational monitoring
  • Safety and compliance
  • Smart infrastructure
  • Industrial automation
  • Security analytics
  • Occupancy and traffic insights
  • Event detection and notifications
  • Enterprise intelligence systems
Roboi technologies are intended for lawful, ethical, and responsible usage only.

3. AI-Assisted Nature of Services
Roboi systems use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision technologies to generate:
  • detections,
  • classifications,
  • alerts,
  • metadata,
  • recommendations,
  • analytics outputs.
Users acknowledge and agree that:
  • AI outputs are probabilistic in nature;
  • detections may contain inaccuracies;
  • false positives and false negatives may occur;
  • outputs should not be treated as guaranteed or infallible.
Roboi services are intended to assist human operators and should not be solely relied upon for:
  • legal determinations,
  • law enforcement decisions,
  • disciplinary actions,
  • safety-critical decisions,
  • emergency response,
  • employment decisions,
  • biometric verification,
  • autonomous enforcement actions.
Human review and validation remain the responsibility of the User.

4. Lawful Use Requirement
Users must use Roboi services only in compliance with:
  • applicable laws,
  • surveillance regulations,
  • employment laws,
  • privacy laws,
  • biometric regulations,
  • cybersecurity laws,
  • export control laws,
  • human rights standards.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring lawful deployment and operation of Roboi systems.

 


5. Prohibited Uses
Users shall not use Roboi services for any unlawful, unethical, harmful, discriminatory, or abusive activities.
Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
a. Illegal Surveillance
  • Unauthorized monitoring of individuals;
  • Hidden or unlawful surveillance;
  • Surveillance in prohibited areas;
  • Violation of privacy rights.
b. Unlawful Facial Recognition or Biometric Tracking
  • Unauthorized biometric collection;
  • Illegal face recognition deployments;
  • Real-time biometric identification prohibited by law;
  • Tracking individuals without lawful basis.
c. Human Rights Violations
  • Mass unlawful surveillance;
  • Political repression;
  • Social scoring systems;
  • Oppressive monitoring practices;
  • Suppression of civil liberties.
d. Discriminatory or Harmful AI Usage
  • Profiling based on protected characteristics;
  • Discriminatory monitoring;
  • Bias-driven automated decisions;
  • Harassment or intimidation.
e. Weaponization or Military Misuse
Users may not use Roboi services:
  • for autonomous weapons systems;
  • lethal targeting;
  • military attack systems;
  • unlawful combat operations;
  • prohibited defense applications.
f. Unauthorized Employee Monitoring
Users must ensure employee surveillance complies with:
  • labor laws,
  • notice requirements,
  • consent requirements,
  • workplace regulations.
g. Illegal Data Collection
  • Collection of data without lawful authority;
  • Unlawful interception of communications;
  • Unauthorized retention of personal data.
h. Cybersecurity Abuse
Users shall not:
  • attempt unauthorized access;
  • interfere with platform operations;
  • reverse engineer restricted systems;
  • deploy malware or malicious code;
  • abuse APIs or infrastructure.

 


6. Customer Responsibilities
Users are solely responsible for:
  • camera placement;
  • surveillance notices and signage;
  • obtaining permissions and consents;
  • compliance with privacy and biometric laws;
  • configuring retention policies;
  • validating AI-generated outputs;
  • operational decisions based on analytics.
Users must ensure that deployments comply with all local legal and regulatory requirements.

7. AI Model Limitations
AI model performance may vary depending on:
  • camera quality,
  • lighting conditions,
  • weather,
  • network conditions,
  • positioning,
  • hardware capability,
  • environmental changes,
  • training data limitations.
Roboi does not guarantee:
  • uninterrupted detection,
  • perfect recognition accuracy,
  • prevention of incidents,
  • complete elimination of false alerts.
Performance metrics are indicative and may vary across environments.

8. Data Privacy and Security
Roboi supports:
  • edge-first deployments,
  • on-premise processing,
  • hybrid architectures,
  • role-based access controls,
  • audit logging,
  • enterprise security controls.
Roboi follows security practices aligned with:
  • ISO 27001
  • SOC 2 Type II
Users remain responsible for:
  • lawful data collection,
  • retention configurations,
  • access management,
  • internal governance controls.

 


9. Third-Party Integrations
Roboi services may integrate with:
  • CCTV systems,
  • cloud providers,
  • messaging platforms,
  • access control systems,
  • enterprise software,
  • IoT devices.
Users are responsible for ensuring that third-party integrations comply with applicable laws and vendor requirements.

 


10. Suspension and Enforcement
Roboi reserves the right to:
  • suspend or restrict access;
  • disable integrations;
  • terminate services;
  • report unlawful activity to authorities
where Roboi reasonably believes services are being used:
  • unlawfully,
  • unethically,
  • abusively,
  • in violation of this Policy,
  • or in a manner creating legal, security, or reputational risk.

 


11. Compliance Cooperation
Users agree to cooperate with reasonable compliance and security requests relating to:
  • misuse investigations,
  • legal obligations,
  • cybersecurity incidents,
  • regulatory inquiries.
Roboi may request deployment details where required for compliance assessment.

12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roboi shall not be liable for:
  • customer misuse of services;
  • unlawful surveillance activities;
  • incorrect operational decisions based on AI outputs;
  • third-party integrations;
  • regulatory non-compliance by customers;
  • indirect or consequential damages.
Users assume full responsibility for operational use of Roboi systems.

13. International Operations
Roboi services may be provided through:
  • Roboi Private Limited (India)
  • Invincible Ocean Information Technology LLC (Dubai)
  • affiliated operational entities
Depending on deployment architecture, support, processing, or infrastructure operations may occur across multiple jurisdictions.

14. Changes to This Policy
Roboi may update this AI & Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
Updated versions will be published on:
Roboi.ai
Continued use of the services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
